Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy for The Law Brigade Publisher (India)

Effective Date: December 18, 2025

The Law Brigade Publisher (India), a Legal Research Division of Libertatem Media Private Limited, provides scholarly publication services through open access peer-reviewed journals. These services involve substantial irreversible commitments of time, expertise, and resources from our internal team (including editors and administrators) as well as external peer reviewers once a manuscript reaches the acceptance stage.

  1. No Cancellations or Refunds We do not offer cancellations, refunds, partial refunds, or credits in any scenario. The Article Processing Charge (APC) is charged only upon formal acceptance of a manuscript for publication. Once the APC is paid and final processing begins (including formatting, DOI registration, plagiarism verification, and publication), the payment is final and non-refundable. This policy applies without exception, including in cases of:
    • Author-requested withdrawal after payment.
    • Detection of discrepancies, ethical issues, or required revisions after payment (failure to comply with revision requests will result in non-publication or retraction, but does not entitle any refund).
    • Delays in publication, regardless of cause.
    • Dissatisfaction with the process, outcome, or published article.
    • Technical issues, force majeure, or any other circumstances. The APC funds committed activities essential to maintaining scholarly integrity, quality assurance, and open access availability.
  2. Out-of-Scope Elements As detailed in our Terms and Conditions (Section 1), no refunds or adjustments apply for outcomes beyond our control, including but not limited to:
    • Inclusion or indexing in external databases (e.g., Scopus, Web of Science, UGC-CARE).
    • Citation metrics, journal impact factors, third-party recognitions, or visibility in external search engines.
    • Outcomes related to partnerships with conference organizers.
  3. Payments and Dispute Resolution All payments are processed securely via Razorpay/PayPal and are considered final upon confirmation. Any concerns regarding payments or services must follow the dispute resolution process outlined in our Terms and Conditions (Section 7):
    • Issues must first be raised internally with our management via [email protected].
    • Further resolution, if required, proceeds through arbitration at the Gujarat High Court Arbitration Centre (GHAC) under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

We strongly recommend carefully reviewing our Terms and Conditions, Submission Guidelines, and APC details before manuscript submission or payment. For any questions or clarifications, please contact us at [email protected].
