Abstract

The underlying object of this research paper is to study and analyze why there is need to
legalize cannabis in India. As it deals with the benefit that India will gain by legalizing cannabis
as to how government would able to earn more revenue and would able to decrease the
unemployment rate, how it would help in decreasing the crime rates in the country and it also
explains the medical usage of cannabis. These aspects have been proven in research paper by
comparing India with the other countries that have legalized cannabis. This research paper also
deals with the current legal status of cannabis in India.
